    Terms and conditions

    1. For a chance to win, you must enter the competition on the LNER mobile app and / or you may receive bonus entries to the competition via the 5th birthday campaign for Perks between 14 April 2026 and 31 May 2026. The competition closes at 23.59 on 31 May 2026.

    2. There are five prizes available. Each prize is for two people and consists of a x1 night hotel stay in a 5* hotel (up to the value of £400) in one of the following locations: London, York, Newcastle, Edinburgh or Aberdeen. The winner can select the location from this list. You will also receive x2 First Class Return Tickets for travel on London North Eastern Railway (LNER) train services between any two LNER calling stations only.

    3. LNER will notify the winner(s) by 6 July 2026, using the email address provided on the LNER Perks account at the time of entering the prize. The winner will have a further 5 days to accept the prize before another prize winner is randomly selected.

    4. By entering this competition, you hereby consent to the publication of your details (first name and sentence line quote) on the following web page: LNER Perks | LNER The winner(s) will be announced on 26 July 2026.

    5. LNER will communicate with the winner via email, to book a 5* hotel stay in one of the included locations. This will be subject to hotel availability and cost. 

    6. If the hotel stay is lower than the value of £400, the winner will not receive the outstanding amount as cash, vouchers or perks credit.  

    7. Promotional codes for two First Class LNER return tickets will be supplied upon acceptance of the prize by the winner. Travel must then be booked by the winner by visiting Claim your prize (lner.co.uk) and the promotional codes should be entered in the promotional codes box. It is the winners responsible to keep the promotional codes safe, as these cannot be reissued.  

    8. LNER travel is subject to availability. The winner may be required to consider alternative dates if their first date is fully booked or if engineering work is taking place.     

    9. The prize must be booked within  12 months after the competition's closing date.  

    10. It is the responsibility of the winner to arrange their transport to and from LNER calling stations. Any additional costs incurred during the trip must be covered by the winner - this includes train journeys to and from non-LNER calling stations plus room service and meals at the hotel.     11. In the event that the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond LNER's control, LNER reserves the right to substitute the prize with an alternative of equal or greater value. If a suitable alternative cannot be provided, LNER may, at its discretion, award the winner the monetary value of the original prize.  

    12. The prize is only available to members of LNER Perks  and the winner must be a member of LNER Perks at the time of entry.    

    13. The winner will be randomly selected from the database of entrants who enter and those who receive bonus entries via the 5th birthday campaign.     

    14. The competition can be entered via the LNER mobile app. Additional bonus entries may be awarded to members as part of the Perks 5th Birthday campaign. There is no alternative method of entry. 

    15. This competition is open to UK residents over 18 years of age.    

    16. Employees and family of LNER or any agencies connected with the set-up of this competition are not eligible to enter.    

    17. LNER is not responsible for invalid email addresses being registered by the account holder.    

    18. No purchase is necessary.

Details of the prize winner (surname and county) will be made available for a period of 6 weeks following the determination of the winning entry, unless the winner objects or requests a reduction in the information published upon being notified of their win.
