Book your tickets to and from London (via Bedford)!

LNER has put tickets on sale for its three return services from Newcastle to Bedford - two on Saturday 28 and one on Sunday 29 November 2026.
These services allow customers to connect onto Thameslink trains to and from London during engineering work. Book tickets below!
On Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November 2026, engineering work is closing the East Coast Main Line between London King's Cross and Peterborough. However, there are still options for customers travelling from the East Midlands, Yorkshire, the North East, and Scotland to get to London.
These options include three return train services across the weekend which will run from Newcastle to Bedford - calling at Durham, Darlington, Northallerton, York, and Doncaster. From Bedford, customers can connect onto Thameslink services to London. These trains provide customers with a more direct journey, allowing them to complete their full journey by train.
