Top tips to keep your pets happy
Travelling by train can be a new and strange experience for your pet. Loud, unexpected noises and large groups of people may be stressful for an animal, especially if it’s their first train journey. Consider travelling at quieter times of day if you think your pet may find this more relaxing.
The aisles of the train are usually busy with people, luggage and trolleys. Sitting by the window and keeping pets by your feet away from the aisle will stop them getting startled by passers-by.
You’ll find water bowls at lots of our stations, but it’s also a good idea to bring extra water and your own bowl for the trip. Top up your supplies at a water refill point.
Pets in First Class
First class ticket holders well-behaved dogs (on leads) and assistance dogs are welcome in all of our First Class Lounges and of course onboard our First Class coaches.
