Get Set For Summer: LNER Releases Millions Of Tickets

Customers can now purchase Advance tickets as far ahead as Friday 12 September 2025 (excluding the August bank holiday weekend), up to twenty-four weeks before they choose to travel, with early booking advised to secure the best value fares.

Whether it’s travelling to Edinburgh for one of the city’s festivals in August, Bradford to immerse yourself in the year it celebrates City of Culture, or historic Darlington or York to mark 200 years of the modern railway, LNER will take you there this summer.

LNER is also gearing up to transport customers to a summer of live music, with huge tours taking place from the likes of Coldplay and the newly reformed Oasis. To help celebrate the first London date of the Oasis Live ‘25 tour on 25 July, LNER will be running a special service for fans. ‘The LNER She’s Electric’ service will depart from Edinburgh Waverley at 09:00, arriving at London King’s Cross at 13:38 with many surprises in store for fans of the Britpop icons.

The best value LNER fares are available when booked direct on the LNER website or app. With no booking fees, customers can select their preferred seat and receive live journey alerts both on their mobile and by scanning the QR code on the back of their seat onboard.

As well as live journey updates, the QR code gives customers access to entertainment in the form of the LNER podcast ‘Routes’, as well as the ability to order snacks directly to their seat. Members of the loyalty scheme, LNER Perks, also get access to exclusive offers. New members will receive £5 instant credit when joining and enjoy a further 2 per cent credit on all future LNER purchases.
