Upgrade through your account

Upgrade to First Class through the LNER app or website from your account until 2 hours before travel. Available to LNER direct bookers, with fare differences applying, and proof of upgrade instantly emailed or on your phone.

Seatfrog

Upgrade your ticket via Seatfrog from 3 days before departure until 10 minutes before travel. Available to LNER direct and third-party bookers, dynamically priced with a £3 platform fee, and non-refundable with no LNER Perks credit.

Onboard

Upgrade onboard through the Train Manager on off-peak services, subject to availability. Set prices of £35 or £45 apply, depending on journey length and time, with no fee, but upgrades are non-refundable and earn no LNER Perks credit.
